I was a colleague and friend of Jim's for nearly a decade at First American and am so sorry to hear this news. I knew Jim had been in ill-health for some time but this still comes as a shock. He was a wonderful man with a keen legal mind and a biting sense of humor. My condolences to his family.

I apologize for the tardiness of this expression of sympathy and would have liked to have attended his funeral service but given the fact that so many of us have been involuntarily separated from a once-great company I just learned of this sad news.

Beth, Stephen, Jeffrey, I've just learned of Jim's death. Your parents were good friends to Randy and to me, and I have many fond memories of time spent with them - and you.

I will truly miss Jim, he was not only a boss to me but a second Father. We had many hours of long talks about work, religon, life, children, careers, money, pets and even death. All those things you learn from a father. My career was take further due to the wonderful teachings of Mr. D. My love goes to all of those who were touched by Jim.

I met Jim, when I moved to Col. Hghts. back in the summer of 1977.

He was the best Real Estate Attorney that I have ever known! I had the utmost respect for him. I was absolutly amazed by his knowledge, and the way that he presented himself.

He was so greatly missed, by so many Realtors, when he closed his Real Estate office.

Please know that the entire "Deboer" family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I will never forget his sweet smile, and gentle manner.

I worked for Jim while he was at Elliott, DeBoer and Hauler and then DeBoer and Dicks and then on his own. He was an unending source of knowledge and I learned so much about the real estate world from him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
