John DeLong Obituary
John Robert DeLong was born Feb. 4, 1949, in Davenport, the son of Robert and Neoma (Nelson) DeLong. He married Patricia Huisman in 1986 in Rock Island. John had worked as a satellite installer for Galaxy One for seven years, retiring in 2001. He especially enjoyed supporting the Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Rock Island; three daughters, Jaime (Jeff) Brown and Amber DeLong, both of Rock Island, and Valerie DeLong, of Milan; two sons, Bob (Michelle) Oberlander, of Davenport, and Joseph DeLong, of Rock Island; two grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Dunn, of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the family.
