Mabel Padgett Obituary

Mabel M. Padgett, a life long resident of the area, died March 17, 2007 at Milford Senior Care, Milford, Pa. She was 87.

Daughter of the late George and Grace Jones Cox, she was born May 21, 1919 in Port Jervis. She was the widow of the late David Padgett.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Hendershot and her husband Donald of Port Jervis and Patricia Fuller and her husband Kenneth of Port Jervis; one son, James Padgett and his wife Marian of Sparrowbush, N.Y.; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including Betty Fleming of Port Jervis. She is predeceased by three brothers: Charles, Fred and Percy Cox and her sister, Mildred Holly.

Friends may call Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 1-2 p.m. at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ann Rost officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, N.Y.
