Clara Gardner Obituary

Formerly of Monroe, NY

Clara R. Gardner, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Elant at Newburgh. She was 95.

The daughter of the late Charles and Hattie (Babcock) Russell, she was born in Chester, NY on June 29, 1912. She was the widow of Lorin Gardner.

Clara was a retired Registered Nurse Supervisor at Tuxedo Hospital, Tuxedo, NY.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held today, Saturday, June 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY.

Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. this afternoon with the Rev. Emily B. Hall officiating. Interment will be in The Cemetery of the Highlands, Route 32, Highland Mills, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harriman United Methodist Church, 15 Church St., Harriman, NY 10926.
