Kenneth Wanser Obituary

Yankee Lake, NY

Kenneth H. Wanser of Yankee Lake, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 in Middletown, NY. He was 44.

The son of Gordon and Eleanor Smith Wanser, Ken was born February 29, 1964 in Yonkers, NY.

Ken loved nature and his best friends were his dogs, Maggie and Maximus.

In addition to his parents of Whitestown, IN, Ken is survived by his fiancee, Deborah Parks, at home; brothers, Barry and his wife, Laura of Zionsville, IN, and Gordon Wanser and his fiancee, Jennifer of Philadelphia, PA; Deborah's daughters, Meghan Sasfai of Poughkeepsie and Kristin Schefcick and her husband, Peter of Decatur, GA; nephews, Michael and Robert of Zionsville, IN; niece, Riley of Philadelphia, PA; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and his talented and faithful dogs, Maggie and Maximus.

Visitation hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY.

A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.

Because of their personal connection to the breast cancer cause, Ken's family has requested memorial contributions to be made to the American Breast Cancer Society, PO Box 805, Wurtsboro, NY 12790.
