Jean Langwick Obituary
Jean E. Langwick, age 92, of New Paltz died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, NY.
Mrs. Langwick was born September 24, 1915 in Pittsfield, MA, the daughter of the late Louis and Mabel (Harris) Marien. She married George Langwick on December 14, 1939. He predeceased her June 21, 1976.
She was one of the oldest members of the Reformed Church of New Paltz. She helped run the Langwick Farm in New Paltz selling eggs, raising turkeys for Thanksgiving, cattle and ducks. She taught in the New Paltz School District from 1957 to 1977 when she retired.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and George Martinez of Gardiner, NY; son and daughter-in-law: John and Marianne Langwick of Tucker, GA; grandson and wife: Chris and Cindy Martinez of Gardiner, NY; granddaughter and husband: Laura and Steve Bianco of Marlboro, NY; granddaughters: Stacey and Jeff Berkowitz, Leslie and Wally Weave, Kirstin and Stuart Langwick-Temples; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Lauren, Brooke, Riley, Lucas, Drew, Aubrey, Brian, Anna, Meg, Joelle, and Cameron; sister-in-law: Betty Conklin of Cape Cod, MA; brother-in-law: Ralph Langwick of Surprise, AZ; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Ben Langwick.
Calling hours will be Monday, June 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 S. Putt Corners Rd., New Paltz, NY.
The Funeral will be Tuesday, June 24, at 1 p.m. at the Reformed Church of New Paltz, 92 Huguenot St., New Paltz, NY with the Rev. Howard Major III officiating. Burial will follow in New Paltz Rural Cemetery, Plains Rd., New Paltz, NY.
Memorials may be made to charity of one's choice.

I spent many hours quilting with Jean and her friends on Thursday mornings. She was always in a happy and helpful mood, and she was so talented. I cherish those memories.
