Meghan Trifari Obituary
Meghan Elaine Trifari of Middletown, NY, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at home. She was 22.
The daughter of John J. Trifari and Jayna Depew McAteer, she was born on March 12, 1986 in Middletown, NY.
Meghan was a 2004 graduate of Pine Bush High School. She was the assistant manager of Mandi's in Monroe. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by many relatives and friends. Meghan lived each day to the fullest, relentless, compassionate, affectionate, the life of the party, and some fighter. Meghan loved her music and was gifted with a beautiful voice. She was dedicated to her family and friends and to her work. She gave her love selflessly and unconditionally. God only takes the best, and she was!
Meghan is survived by her parents, John Trifari and his wife, Christine, and Jayna and her husband, Robert McAteer; brothers, Matthew and Andrew Trifari; stepbrother, Gregory McAteer and stepsister, Trish McAteer; her grandparents, Robert and Nancy Depew, and Walter and Elizabeth Trifari; her boyfriend, Louis Sorino, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose lives she touched who will cherish the moments they shared with her.
Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY.
The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon, June 29 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Leo Jaloszynski will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot in Howells Cemetery, Howells, NY.
Meghan's family requests memorial contributions in her name to be made to Meghan's Musical Scholarship Fund.

I did not know Meghan personally. I only saw her at the Mandee store a bunch of times. But I will say every single time I saw her she was smiling, happy and bubbly. I'm so sorry for your loss.

its been almost 2 weeks. but i do not feel a day away from you i feel lost like im in the fog and i cant see your face . i feel your presence all around me. but i cant touch you . im torn apart at the seems .im trying to keep positive like i know you would. but its the hardest thing ive ever had to do in my life . i cant let you go and i never will you are my heart and i cant live without that now can i . life will go on i supose but never the same . everyday forth with not be as bright with out you in it and that breaks my heart i love you with all my heart my love my life my everything my mama bear love always and forever louis............

i want to send my prayers for megans family. i've known her since first grade and she was always a good person. we never really talked much. but i always knew that her kindness, and outgoing personality would bring many people happiness. i want to send my prayers to all of her friends. i remember how close all of you guys were and this must be devistating. all of you were always together, and always laughing. if any of you guys had a problem megan was always there for u to talk to. just always remember shes in our hearts and our memories. so shes never really gone. remember the good times (which there arent really any bad). and just smile every time you think about her because im sure its what she would want all of you to do. once again my thoughts and prayers are with megan's family and friends. she will never be forgotten.

To meghans family i am so sorry for your loss. I found our wednesday at around 5pm and my heart stopped. Meghan and I were good friends in highschool and even better our first year at occc. every afternoon like clockwork we would meet in our "Happy bench" and have lunch together. I was so sad when she left occc because i was so bored without her at lunch. I saw her a couple of months ago She always had a smile on her face. We will all miss her dearly and I hate knowing that this is goodbye. . .

I would like to start by sending my sincere condolences to Meghan's family. I was in choir with Meghan at Pine Bush High School and have fond memories of her. She was not only gifted musically but was always a bright spirit and brought many laughs to us all! She was funny, smart, talented and beautiful (to only name a few) and I will remember her always!
