Angelo LaGattuta Obituary
Angelo LaGattuta of Walden, NY, a Maintenance Worker at Elant at Newburgh Nursing Home and a lifelong resident of the area, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. He was 49.
The son of Peter and Wilhelmina Atherton LaGattuta, he was born April 2, 1959 in Newburgh, NY.
He was a former member of the Enterprise Steamer Co. #2 of the Walden Fire Department and former member of the Walden Drum and Bugle Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri Odendahl LaGattuta at home; two daughters, Ieda LaGattuta at home and Crystal Stevenson at home; one son, Aric Stevenson of Maine; two sisters, Linda Palenik of Walden and Donna Eastwood of Wassaic, NY; nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Goldie.
He was predeceased by one brother, Martin Atherton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY.
Funeral services will be held Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Walden Fire Department.
Arrangements were by the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Walden; 845-778-3811.

To Angelo's Family,
My deepest sympathies to you all. I met Angelo when he was the "Schwann Man" for my Pizza Shop. He was always pleasant and always had a good story to tell! I would run into him every once in a while at the Leptondale market and catch up. I hope our prayers will help you through this sad time. May he rest in peace.
