Edward Joy Obituary
Edward "Eddie" Joseph Joy, a pressman for the Times Herald Record in Middletown, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at his home in Bloomingburg. He was 48.
The son of the late William F. Joy Sr. and Alta Halstead Joy, he was born November 26, 1959 in Middletown. Eddie was a member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bloomingburg.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Madoff Joy; a son, Edward; two sisters, Marjorie Joy Ferri and her husband, Fred of Smithtown and Ellen Delatto of Wurtsboro; four brothers: Michael F. Joy, William F. Joy Jr., Stephen Joy of Bloomingburg, Richmond R. Joy and his wife, Rosemary of Bloomingburg; five nephews: Richard Joy of Wurtsboro, Richmond Joy of Middletown, James Joy of Florida, NY, William E. Joy of Bloomingburg and Jesse R. Joy of Standish, ME; his extended family of brothers and sisters includes the Muldoon family of John of Tarrytown, Thomas of Glen Spey, Ann in Sweden, Kitty of Virginia and SR. Barbara of Goshen. Other family members reside in Ireland and England.
Visitation will be held on today, Tuesday, July 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan St., in Wurtsboro.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9, at 11 a.m. at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, High St., in Bloomingburg with Fr. Raymond Bagdonis O.Carm officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.

I only knew Eddie for a short time but during this time I enjoyed seeing him with his wife and son and I will always remember the joy when he was with his son.
