Carolyn M. "Nana" Hess went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Connecticut. She was 66.

She was a former resident of Middletown and a four year resident of East Haven, Connecticut.

The daughter of the late Roy W. Ehly and Clara M. Whitmore Ehly, she was born on February 21, 1942 in Paterson, NJ.

She was a retired cook for Orange County Community College in Middletown.

Family statement: "Carolyn had an immeasurable love for her family and friends, which she expressed through her beautiful paintings, words of encouragement and gentle smile. She was an inspiration to all who met her. Her faith in the Lord touched the lives of so many people throughout her life's journey."

Survivors include her sons, Chris Errico of Nolensville, TN, John Errico of Milford, PA, and Mark Errico of Newtown, CT; daughters, Kim Perdomo of Bethel, Tammy Errico of East Haven, CT, and Susan Alejandro of Greenwood Lake, and thirteen grandchildren: Michael, Kristen, Regina, Caitlyn, Lindsay, Ryan, Daniel, Andre, Shaina, Trevor, Steven, Colin and Jessica.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Jose Perdomo and Pastor Joseph McKelvey officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman.
