Rose Stanford Obituary
Rose DeAgostine Stanford, of New Windsor, entered into rest on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 99.
Daughter of the late Baldassarre and Francesca Rizzi DeAgostine, she was born on August 29, 1908 in Newburgh. She was married to the late Elmer F. Stanford.
Rose was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh and a member of Club 60.
"We would like to thank our extended family, the staff of Elant at Fishkill, especially South One, for the excellent and loving care they gave our mom. We would also like to thank the emergency room physicians and staff of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus, as well as her physicians and caregivers."
She is survived by her loving daughter, Norma Casillo and her husband, Joseph of New Windsor; brother, Roland DeAgostine and his wife, Evelyn; sister, Olga Meehan; sister-in-law, Mary DeAgostine and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Samuel, William, Alfred and Faustine DeAgostine and sisters, Mary Ciacco and Delia DeAgostine.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 13 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 14 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Rose's memory be made to Elant at Fishkill, 22 Robert Kasin Way, Beacon, NY 12508.
