Catherine Kreig Obituary

Formerly of New Windsor, NY

Catherine Mary Kreig, a homemaker of Beacon, formerly of New Windsor, NY, and a retired Switchboard Operator for Donelly Publishing, New York, NY, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 90.

She was the daughter of the late John and Florence Rooney McDermott, she was born March 8, 1918 in New York, NY. Catherine was the wife of the late William F. Kreig who predeceased her October 15, 1997. She was a member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Beacon.

She is survived her children: Denise and her husband, John Miller of Beacon, Florence Sheposh of Salisbury, NC, James Sheposh of Vails Gate, NY, and John Sheposh and his wife, Donna of Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren: William, Natalie, James, Penny, Melissa, Deana, Jennifer, and Jaime; 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, from 6-9 p.m. at Libby Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Teller Ave., Beacon.

Funeral services will take place Friday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at funeral home. Burial will be Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.

In lieu of flowers, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps., 1 Arquilla Dr., Beacon, NY 12508.

Arrangements are under the direction of Jarett D. Quick at Libby Funeral Home, Inc., 845-831-0179.
