Earl McQuiston Obituary

Marlboro, NY & Roswell, GA

Earl McQuiston, 83, of Marlboro, NY and Roswell, GA, a retired 38-year employee of IBM in Poughkeepsie and a longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in Roswell, GA.

The son of the late Raymond and Sadie King McQuiston, he was born June 12, 1925 in Newburgh, NY.

Mr. McQuiston was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include daughters, Ruth Ann Perry and Cathy McQuiston, both of Roswell, GA; brother, Myron McQuiston of Newburgh; sisters, Elaine Michaels of Newburgh, Dorothy Norvell of Newburgh, Buella Carpenter of Roscoe and Marian Thorne of Newburgh and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice Scott McQuiston and sister, Ruth Patterson.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 3 from 4-8 p.m. at the White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 N. Plank Rd. (Rte 32), Town of Newburgh.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by White & Venuto Funeral Home, Newburgh.
