Swan Lake, NY

Lois Isabell Davis, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, entered into rest on Monday August 4, 2008 at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home in Roscoe, NY. She was 75.

The daughter of Chester and Isabell King Davis Sr., she was born on November 16, 1932 in Callicoon, NY. Lois was resident of the year at Roscoe Community Nursing Home in 1999 where she has been a resident for almost 12 years.

In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her brother, the Reverend Kenneth Davis.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ethel Gabrielsen and her husband, Richard of Liberty; three brothers, Chester Davis Jr. and his wife, Anita, William Davis and his wife, Grace and Richard Davis and his wife, Evelyn, all of Swan Lake; three nieces; eight nephews; several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews and her many friends at Roscoe Community Nursing Home.

Friends may call at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Rt 55, Kauneonga Lake on today August 6, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with The Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roscoe Community Nursing Home, 420 Rockland Rd., Roscoe, NY 12776.
