Laura Lazarowics Obituary
Laura L. Lazarowics of Monticello, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 4, 2008 in the Village of Monticello at the age of 37.
The daughter of Sanford Lazarowics and Adelle M. Lapinski Lazarowics, she was born November 29, 1970.
A graduate of Monticello High School, Laura attended Middletown Beauty School and while attending classes, was employed by Mall Cleaners and Break Time Vending of Monticello. Laura enjoyed ballet, dancing, music of all kinds, playing the piano, ice-skating, swimming and television. Her favorite pastime, however, was keeping in touch with her many loving and devoted family of friends via the telephone.
She is survived by her parents, Sanford and Adelle Lazarowics; two aunts, Cathy Sardegna and Lillian Kroptovich of Duryea, PA; two uncles, Thomas Lapinski of Duryea, PA and Michael Lapinski of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; ten cousins and many area friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.

Growing up Laura and I would spend our summer vacations together. She loved coming out to Pennsylvania and bumming around with her older cousins.Even if we didn't do anything, all that mattered was that we were doing it together. That time created a special bond between us. For us, we were each others "favorite cousin." She will be greatly missed.

I remember Lauras visits to PA. for Thanksgiving and Easter seeing her blend in with her aunts and cousins. She is sadly missed by Aunt Cathy, Dena and Billy.

I will always remember Laura as the bubbly voice on the phone at the Lazarowics household. Despite your deep sadness, know this: Sometimes God works miracles in ordinary ways and we call it a coincidence -- that's when he wants to remain anonymous. One day when you need it most something good will bless you and you will think what a coincidence! Know that it will be a gift from God -- to thank you for letting him have your beautiful daughter early. Heaven needs your angel and she'll be there for you.

Laura and I were great pal's during the good & bad times. She also was the daughter that I never had. Many times we would spend hour's in her driveway listening to music-dance, classical & blue's. No matter how blue we may have felt, at times, Laura would alway's know how to encourage and brighten-up our day. She was a light that shined among so many depressing situation's, as well as people. No matter what, she alway's had the right solution to get out of a sticky situation. She adored her parent's and was totally committed in working with them in their family- business. My friend, sister & step-daughter will greatly be missed. Love Ya!!!Laura!!!

After my dad & mom pasted away, Sandy and Adelle was suppose to keep an eye on me. I not only got new parent's, but a new sister, named Laura. Unfortunately her smiling-face and happy eyes are no longer with us, but her spirit and lasting effect's of her compassion toward's other's will last forever. Forever in my Heart!!! SiS!!

Laura was a dear friend. She would come to me, when we both needed company. I was like her friendly sister. My 2 son's also enjoyed her company-she would bring snack's and goodies for them & share equally. Laura enjoyed making people happy and helping people in time of need. She will surely be missed.

Today, as I went to the Mass in church you mother & I looked on with grief trying not to hurt. It was the same priest who said the last words at your funeral with a wonderful message with joy that made us full. May you live all the days of your spiritual life like you did when you were alive. With song, dance, joy & happiness-Slapping everybody with a high-five. You enlightened many soul's with desire and no blame. Picked them up from the pit's to your house without shame. You showed compassion that most people would have to buy, but with little effort, you didn't have to try. You cared for the weak, lame, and broken hearted. I should know, because I was one; but, when I found Christ, I regretfully, departed. I didn't keep in touch, because I was too proud of my own success. staying out of the street's & happy not to have to confess. But true love is helping all of our brethren's whether rich or poor, bad or good-doing the right thing & staying out of the HOOD!!. To lean on GOD!! To pull us & other's from death's door so we wont have to worry & bury anymore.

I was shocked when I heard what had happened to Laura. I remember going to camp with her and having such good times. She was such a dear friend to me. I even remember going over the house and doing girl things---I'm so saddened with this news. I haven't seen you guys in years. I have known Laura for about three years and for that time she has been a friend to me. Laura is one of kind always trying to lend a hand when she could, it is a shame what happened to here, now she is in a more deserving place and she has earned here spot there. The Lazarowics family has me deepest condolonce. Laura was unique in her own way having a way for everything, talking expressing here self, wording her sentence, communicating with people. In my eyes Laura will be deeply missed. Once again my heart goes out to the family.
