Joseph LaRocca Obituary
Joseph LaRocca, 84, of New Windsor, a retired Chief Master Sergeant (USAF) and longtime resident of the area, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at VA Hospital, The Bronx, NY.
The son of the late Charles and Sophia Merker LaRocca, he was born August 20, 1923 in Hazelton, PA.
He served in World War II and Korea.
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Lettiere LaRocca at home; sons, Charles LaRocca and wife, Katherine of Montgomery, NY and Joel LaRocca of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Susan LaRocca and husband, David Moss of Red Hook, NY; two grandchildren, Stacey Williams and Karen LaRocca-Fels and great grandchildren, Katherine Williams, Chloe Williams and Liam Fels.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 10 from 4-8 p.m. at the White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 N. Plank Rd. (Rte. 32), Town of Newburgh.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father John Vondras officiating.
Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
