Rose Sicina Obituary
Rose Sicina of Florida, NY, a lifetime area resident entered into rest Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Ringwood, NJ.
The daughter of Joseph and Regina Wielgus Trzaskus, she was born October 16, 1914 in Florida, NY.
She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Florida, St. Joseph's Living Rosary Society, Seward Senior Citizens in Florida, and the Polish Heritage Club. Rose was also a retired Nurses Aid for Orange County Home and Infirmary.
She was married to the late Vincent Sicina.
Rose is survived by two daughters, Jean Brac & husband, Charles of California and Rosalind Higgins & husband, Bill of Ringwood, NJ; one son, Robert Sicina of Virginia; grandchildren, Jennifer Kelly, William Higgins Jr., Michael Higgins, Elizabeth Husk, Marc Sicina, and Nicholas Sicina; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Scott & Julia Kelly, Michael, Shane, & William Higgins III and several nieces & nephews.
Friends May Call on Friday, August 15 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 16 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Florida, NY.
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Florida.
Memorial contributions may be made St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, 14 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921 or to Florida Fire and Rescue Squad P.O. Box 600 Florida, NY 10921.
