Olive Gady Obituary
Olive L. Gady of Middletown NY, died on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at O.R.M.C., Arden Hill Campus Goshen, NY. She was 83.
The daughter of the late Walter and Julia Fairweather Sargeant, she was born on November 19, 1924 in Middletown, NY. She became the wife of John Gady who predeceased her in 1980.
Olive was a spirited, happy lady whose life revolved around her family.
She is survived by her sons, John of Bullville and Jack and his wife, Cheryl of Middletown; one daughter, Julie Galletly and her husband, Jim of Unadilla, NY; one brother, Roy Sargeant of Middletown; sister-in-law, Dorothy Shanley of Campbell Hall; seven grandchildren, Janet Fusco and her fiance, Phil Cole, James Galletly and his wife, Sue, Gina Sgambaiti and her husband, Steve, Diana Perrone and her husband, Doug, Stephanie Brashears and her husband, Eric, Scott and Deanna Gady. Olive is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Travis, Jessica, Steven, Andrew, Daisha, Anthony and one on the way, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20 and 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 21 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will follow in the family plot in Pine Hill Cemetery, Middletown.
