Thomas Johnson Obituary
Thomas Anthony Johnson, 52, of New Windsor, NY, a Leather Repair Man, entered into rest August 20, 2008 at home.
The son of Verne Johnson and Eileen O. Malone, he was born May 8, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA.
He was a member of The Hudson Valley Foundation For Cultural Enhancement and The Mohank Hiking Club. He was also a musician.
Survivors include his mother, Eileen O. Johnson of Wasilla, AK; the mother of his children, Janice Johnson; three sons, Matthias of New Windsor, Luke and Patrick, both of Buffalo, NY; three daughters, Altercation of New Orleans, LA, Harmony of Buffalo, NY and Jo "The" of New Orleans, LA; four brothers, four sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 23 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville.
Service will be at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation will be private.
Arrangements under the care of Thomas A. Murray of the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home; 845-496-9106.

I can only imagine how many people Tom touched. He lived life to the fullest, to the very end..Truly did. He's probably still living it up..During the short period I was his friend, he told me of his love for his children and his wife, he shared with me his talent for poetry and music, he told me of his plans for his plants, he cooked with such love..Then it was the quick remarks and the wide smiles..He was a gentle and generous soul..I will miss him.

We are blessed to know Tom and his family through our Meadowbrook years. I can still hear and see that James Taylor look alike up on stage proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. I had the chance to meet Tom when he came over here to Germany last fall. Tom, I enjoyed our short time together and I will honor your memory today with a fine cigar and a few fingers of single malt.

Tom was a man with many many friends-still does but he is in a different plane now. I had the privilege of being a friend in our time. I met him on Cupid and he shared Myspace-got me started, and Gather. We shared music, poetry philosophy, love, and lots of laughter. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, all his friends...I will say a few prayers and think good thoughts as I am so far away. Tom has left his mark on all of us. Bless him truly. Love you Tom! Thank you for being such a good person, I will miss you. Save us all a place will you?

I too knew Tom under the names of "bluessong" in a chat room. Always a gentleman and considerate, we laughes and chatted several times about life, music and the universe. My deepest condolences to the family and his many friends.
