Robert Galloway Obituary

Walden, NY

Robert N. Galloway, a lifelong resident of Walden, NY, and a retired lineman for Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. died Friday, August 22, 2008 at Montgomery Nursing Home, Montgomery. He was 81.

The son of Norman and Dorothy Duvall Galloway, he was born April 3, 1927 in Chester, NY. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Allen Galloway, at home; three sons: Stephen Galloway and his wife, Florence of Montgomery, Michael Galloway of Connecticut, and Robert Brown and his wife, Janet of Coos Bay, OR; one daughter, Susan Dunphy of Gardiner; 12 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, James Galloway.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Arrangements were by the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc., 845-778-3811.

Mrs Galloway,
Sorry for your loss,Mr.Galloway was one of the nicest people I have ever met.I remember have some fun times with him when I would stay at my sister Marisa's house for the the summer.
