Raimund Perz Obituary

Wallkill, NY

Raimund Perz of Wallkill, NY, a retired Cabinet Maker, and a longtime resident of the area, died Friday, August 22, 2008, at home. He was 87.

The son of the late Raimund and Magdalena Tscherne Perz, he was born March 12, 1921 in Schalkendorf, Yugoslavia.

He was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, he was an avid beekeeper, and he enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Gottscheer Country Club.

Survivors include his wife, Frida, at home; daughters, Elizabeth Perz of San Antonio, TX, Gertrude Perz of Wallkill; grandson, Matthew Tomitz Perz of San Antonio, TX; cousin, Stefi Mausser of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Flack and Anna Schroetle.

Visitation will be today, Monday, August 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bonaventura Ave., Wallkill, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, August 26, at 10 a.m. at Most Precious Blood, Walnut St., Walden, NY. Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the RSVP, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Neighbor to Neighbor Program, 409 Development Ct., Kingston, NY 12401.
