Dear Alida,
When I think if you and your Joe, I always remember the good times we shared when you and Joe were our advisors at Christian Endeavor. The fun times when you took us to meetings. I still remember a Sunday afternoon at Wanasink Lake - you and Joe and Ivan and me.
My sympathy to you and your family.

Dear Brinckerhoff's
Sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of Mr Brinckerhoff and of your family and my memories of growing up in the North Congrational church. I remember coming to your house as a child with my parents and playing with Carl and Allan. I also remember going with you to the circus and you taking my mom to visit my dad when he was in the va hospital in the city and riding in your big Hudson. Thank you for everything that your family did for us.
Sincerely
Ken Riddick

Dear Alida, Allen, Karl and all of your family. Words cannot describe how much the passing of Joe saddens us. Tim and I have always loved him and Alida, as well as all of your family. Our hearts and prayers are with you today and always. We are so sorry that we cannot be there in person to offer our condolences, but know that you are in our thoughts. We are both so grateful for the time spent in Middletown, and especially this past summer when we were so graciously invited to your home Allen, and got to speak and see Joe one more time. He will be missed by many, including us.
God be with you all,
Rev. Tim and Lois Woodard

Dear Alida and family,
Your loss is our loss, they just don't make them like that anymore. Those of us who were privileged to know Joe, know that he has already heard the words. "Well done thou good and faithful servant. enter into the kingdom of heaven!"

Mr. Brinckerhoff was part of North Church as long as I can remember. He was a man of strong character and conviction and active in supporting and maintaining the church building and family. Our families grew up together in church youth programs. He will be greatly missed and long remembered in our hearts.
