Thomas Lanspery Obituary

Binghamton, NY

Thomas W. Lanspery of Binghamton, NY, died June 29, 2008 at his home in Binghamton, NY.

He was born June 17, 1932, the son of the late Maynard Lanspery and Mary Murry Lanspery.

Thomas graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and he also served in the U.S. Airforce for 12 years during World War II. He earned a BA in Finance in Japan and retired from Marist College as a Purchasing Agent. Tom was a "friend of Bill W's" since 1984.

He loved golfing with friends, but most often his family at every opportunity.

He is survived by his sister, Christina Perkowski of Marlboro; step-daughters, Cheryl McNeil Fisher of Wallkill, Cindy McNeil Perkowski of Marlboro and Penny McNeil Hoyt of Saugerties; nieces and nephews, Albert "John" Perkowski, Susan Gaffney of Marlboro, Christy Kodilanen of Virginia, Richard Lanspery of Connecticut, Stephen Lanspery of Florida, Debbie Pectin, Tammy DeGiaccomo, Kathryn Bates, all of Newburgh and Terri Fazio of Gardiner; children, Eric, Mary Ellen and Carol of Texas; 22 great-nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Lanspery and wife, Kathryn, brother-in-law, Albert J. Perkowski, Sr., nephew, Jeffrey Perkowski and beloved great-niece, Kari Ann Perkowski.

Cremation by Chase & Sons, Binghamton. Service will be private at Cedar Hill Mausoleum.

Donations for internment may be made to Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan Association, Wallkill, NY 12589; overflow will be donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
