Mark Blackman Obituary

Monticello, NY

Mark Blackman of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. He was 41 years of age.

The son of Ronald Blackman and Jeanette Snead, he was born December 11, 1966 in New York, NY.

A family statement reads: "Mark was a very special person and he will be fondly remembered by those who knew him."

Survivors include his father, Ronald Blackman and his stepmother, Linda Campion of New York City; his companion of many years, Ledeal E. Boyd of Monticello; a brother, Reginald Blackman of the Bronx; two sisters, Yolanda Blackman of Brooklyn and Evette Anglea Stevenson of the Bronx; five nephews and three nieces.

Visitation will be at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 55 St. John St., Monticello, NY, on Tuesday, September 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., at the funeral home with the Rev. Mario De Shade officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.

Funeral arrangements are by Ramsay's Funeral Homes, Inc.; 845-794-2700.

It was a pleasure having cared for Mark at the Kaplan Residence during his last days.....May God bless and comfort Ledeal and Mark's family as they grieve his loss.....

My condolences to Ledeal and the Blackman Family. Mark was a very nice guy, who was easy to please. It was indeed a pleasure being an advocate for Mark.
