Edward Bergin Obituary

Tuxedo Park, NY

Edward R. Bergin of Tuxedo Park, NY, passed away September 19, 2008 at the age of 87.

He was born January 27, 1921 in Derby, CT to Edward and Mary Bergin.

Edward was a Navy Commander during World War II and was a recipient of the Silver Star. He was retired from ASARCO in NYC as Vice President of Sales. He was also a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Tuxedo, NY.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette; six children: Christopher and his wife, Ulrike, Stephen and his wife, Cindy, Paul and his wife, Karen, Anne and her husband, John Kilduff, Mary and her husband, Brian Loughman, and Breta Bergin; ten grandchildren: Brandon, Christopher, Stephanie, Brett, Casey, Troy, Caroline, Julia, Aidan, and Eamon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Tuxedo, NY.

Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth's Cemetery in Eagle Valley, NY.

Friends and relatives are invited today, Tuesday, September 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Route 17, Tuxedo, NY 10987 would be appreciated.
