Brianne Van Horn-Phelps Obituary

Formerly of Unionville, NY

Brianne "Brie" L. Van Horn-Phelps age 28 died Saturday September 20, 2008 in Springfield, Ohio due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mrs. Phelps was born in Port Jervis, NY November 10, 1979. She grew up in Wantage and resided in Unionville, NY for the past 16 years, recently moving back to Wantage.

Mrs. Phelps was a Certifed Nurses Aide working at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, NY. She was presently Assistant Activities Director. Mrs. Phelps also worked for Kuperus Meadows Farm in Wantage. She was a quilter and scrapbooker and also enjoyed crocheting and loved to cook and bake. She loved life and lived everyday to the fullest.

Mrs. Phelps is survived by her husband, Justin E. Phelps; parents, Brian and Susan (Vealey) Van Horn of Unionville, NY; sisters and brother, April Ford and her husband, Richard of Aurora, NY, Jessica Van Horn of Dundee, NY, and Corey Van Horn of Middletown, NY; nephews, Connor, Richie, and Hunter Ford and Tyler Oliver and Cody Van Horn; in-laws Larry and Nancy Phelps of Odon, IN; sister-in-law, Amanda Phelps of Chattanooga, TN, and family and friends in Indiana.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26, at 11 a.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third St., Sussex. Interment will follow at Clove Cemetery, Wantage.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family, C/O Amy King, P.O. Box 609, Johnson, NY 10933.

To the Van Horn- Phelps family,
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for your family. I cannot imagine what you all are going through. It is unbelievable! I know she is in heaven w/ our Lord. He does not give us anything we cannot handle.
Brie was such an asset @ Shervier, the residents loved her. Your family have been in my prayers and will continue to be.
