Geraldine Amos Obituary

Burlingham, NY

Geraldine E. Amos of Burlingham, a retired meat wrapper working at Amalgamated Meat in New York, NY, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Hudson Valley Hospital in Peekskill, NY. She was 82.

The daughter of Joseph Fitzpatrick, she was born on March 23, 1926 in the Bronx, NY. She was the widow of George Amos.

A veteran, Mrs. Amos served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was a member of the Church of the Infant Saviour in Pine Bush, NY.

She is survived by her sons, James Joseph Amos of Burlingham and Robert Amos of New York, NY; her grandchildren: Kyle, Christopher, Logan, Jana and Shelley. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Abigal, Seth, Kaden, Oliva and Avery; her sisters, Mary Agnes Fugazzi and Eleanor Amos, as well as her nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 26, at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., 72 W. Main St., in Middletown, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Middletown. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
