Joseph Cruz Obituary
Joseph Edward Cruz, 66, of Hortonville, NY, co-owner of Brookside Greenhouse in Hortonville and a Maintenance Supervisor for Elite Investigations in Manhattan, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Manhattan.
Son of the late Jose Edward and Lucy Sylvia Cruz, he was born October 2, 1941 in Fairhaven, MA.
A family statements reads: "May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved by his family."
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Kinsey Cruz, at home; his son, Joseph Edward Cruz, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Milltown, NJ; two daughters, Deanna Winter and her husband, Douglas of Cochecton and Stacey Berlingeri and her husband, Josh of Hortonville, NY and his son, Shane J. Cruz and his wife, Deanna of Obernburg, NY; six grandchildren: Joseph, Elizabeth and John Cruz, Madison and Mason Berlingeri and Rally Cruz; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Antoinette Souza and Joyce Gramham.
Friands may call Friday, September 26, at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main St., Callicoon, NY from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Services will be Saturday, September 27, at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Father Ignatius Smith OFM officiating. Burial will be in Hortonville Cemetery, Hortonville, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 205 East 42nd St., Suite 1821, New York, NY 10017.
