Irene DiCesare Obituary
Irene E. DiCesare of New Windsor, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, September 25, 2008, at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall Campus. She was 86.
Daughter of the late Charles and Maryetta Stivala DiDio, she was born September 21, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY. She was married to Victor V. DiCesare, who predeceased her on May 13, 1996.
Irene attended Sheddens Beauty School and owned "The Duchess Beauty Salon" on Williams St., Newburgh for 50 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh and the West End Couples Club.
She is survived by her loving children, Paul DiCesare and his wife, Virginia of Easton, CT, and Victoria DiCesare and her husband, John Thomas of Newburgh; grandchildren: Michael McGraw and his wife, Melissa, Richard McGraw, Christina and Julia DiCesare; her twin brother, Ugo DiDio and sister, Stella DiStefano, both of New Windsor; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, George DiDio of Phoenix, AZ and sister, Sadie Pryne of Cornwall, NY.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, September 29, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.

When i heard of Mrs. D...passing on i couldnt believe it...i remember her sitting with Keri doing her hair and get her nails frenched...Her and Aunt Stella coming thru the doors saying Good Morning to all of us...Once they came in it was like a yey!!!! they alwayz came in smiling...She was sooo sweet always watched me dying or straightening my moms hair and i loved her advice...its hard to believe she is gone...but her advice and her warmth in our hearts will always stay for aslong as keep it going...We're going to miss you...for now its jus bye because in the end we will all meet up again...God Bless

I am offering my condolences to the family of Irene DiCesare. I am a friend of Elsie and Dave and we have been praying for Irene and for all of you. I am saddened by her passing, but I know she is at peace now and free from illness and wordly cares. She is resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior. I am praying for God's comfort and peace to be with you all. I am out of state and regret that I am not able to join you for services.
