Alice Tyler Obituary
Alice F. Tyler of Narrowsburg, NY, a lifelong resident of the area died on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was 85 years old.
Alice was the widow of Davide Tyler, who passed away June 13, 1999. She was a member of the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church and the church's Ladies Auxiliary.
Alice was a Sunday School Teacher for seven years, a school bus driver for 25 years for Narrowsburg Central School, she also was employed by Kittatinny Campgrounds and New Hope both in Barryville, NY.
A Family Statement read: "Alice always enjoyed the trip to Niagria Falls visiting the Swensen family. Trips with Ruthie and Doug to Florida and bus trips to Atlantic City. If there was bingo, she would be there. On her first trip to Key West Florida to visit grandson, Paul, she was joined by her daughters, Marion and Alice. She received her wings. She was so thrilled. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Always there to take anyone to their appointment."
She is survived by her daughter, Marion Barnes and companion, Thomas Wulforst; a son, David and wife, Nancy; a son, Richard and wife, Carol; a daughter, Alice Foster and husband, Douglas Wyss; grandchildren, Allan Barnes and wife, Sherri, Linda Burkowski and husband, Jim, James Barnes, Tina Mapes and husband, Bob, Wendy Julkerski and husband, Bret, Paul Foster, Robert Foster and wife, Rosa, and Tammy Watts and husband, Edward; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond, Norman, Lenny, and Jim Kogerl; sisters, Anna, Elanore, Gussie, and Rosie. She was predeceased by a brother, John and a sister, Mary.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, October 9, from 10-11 a.m. at Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg, NY
Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 9, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.
Donations may be made to the Tusten Ambulance Corp., Narrowsburg, NY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg, NY, 845-252-3901.
