John Waizenegger Obituary
John A. "Sonny" Waizenegger of Middletown, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center at Horton, Campus, Middletown, NY. He was 89.
Born in Middletown, NY on October 14, 1919, he was the son of Hans and Margaret Myers Waizenegger.
He retired as Circulation Manager at The Times Herald-Record, Middletown, NY, and was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elk Lodge 1097, Middletown.
He is survived by seven siblings: Marjorie Roselli of Arizona, Catherine MacEntee, Doris Talmadge, Rayella Brunette, Samuel Waizenegger and his wife, Joan, Virginia Wix and her husband, Calvin, Mildred Ellison; sister-in-law, Violet Waizenegger and brother-in-law, Peter Ptak, all of Middletown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward "Hipe" Waiznegger and sister, Betty Ptak.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Morse Funeral Home, Inc., 33 Railroad Ave., Middletown, NY, with Elks services at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Friday, October 17, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the family plot in Hillside Cemetery, Middletown, NY.

My condolences to the family. Sonny was the person who got me started delivering the Times-Herald way back when. He used his volkswagon to take me around the route the first day.
