Anna Kukelka Obituary

Middletown, NY

Anna Kukelka of Middletown, retired employee of Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis and a lifelong resident of the area, died on Thursday, October 16, 2008 in Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown. She was 94.

The daughter of the late Frank and Mary Witkowski, she was born on February 10, 1914 in Pine Island, NY. She was the widow of Joseph Kukelka.

She was a member of Holy Cross Church and the Ladies Confraternity of the Holy Cross Church.

A family statement reads: "Mom was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she lived for her family. Her happiest moments were sharing time with her family which continued to grow."

Survivors include her children: Frank Kukelka and his wife, Joan and William Kukelka and his wife, Judy, all of Middletown, Mary Ann Peters of Milford, PA and Caroline Smith and her husband, Roy of Westtown; her sister, Sophie Costic of Middletown. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son-in-law, F. Alan Peters; her sister, Jennie Wieboldt and her brothers, William, John, Stanley and Edward Witkowski.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, October 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., 72 West Main St., Middletown, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 20 at 9 a.m. at the Holy Cross R.C. Church, County Route 22, South Canterville, NY. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Church Building Fund, 626 County Route 22, Middletown, NY 10940.
