Agnes M. Wolf

Agnes M. Wolf, age 89, of New Paltz, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at Kingston Hospital, Kingston.

Mrs. Wolf was born March 31, 1919 in Munich, Germany, the daughter of the late David and the late Jakobine (Wassermann) Weiler Phd.

Mrs. Wolf lived in Nahariya, Israel from 1936 until 1948 when she came to New Paltz. Agnes was the wife of the late Herbert Wolf whom she married January 21, 1939 in Nahariah, Israel and predeceased her on December 7, 1994.

Agnes was a member of the Highland Grange, the Pamona Grange, New York State and National Grange, Ulster County ARC, Local and National AARP, New Paltz-Gardiner Senior Citizens, she served on the New Paltz Conservation Committee and was a member of the SUNY New Paltz Alumni Association.

Mrs. Wolf received a Masters Degree in Special Education and was retired from Gateway Industries, Kingston & New Paltz where she worked as a teacher from 1960 until 1983.

She is survived by one daughter, Esther W. Radin of New Paltz, NY and two sons, Al A. Wolf and his wife, Billie of Syracuse, NY, Peter D. Wolf of Syracuse, NY; a granddaughter, Jacqueline Kibler of Vienna, VA; grandson, Steve Wolf of Syracuse, NY; granddaughter, Cathy Hamernik of Syracuse, NY. Agnes is also survived by five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 23, at 10 a.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz with Cantor Robert Cohen officiating.

Burial will be in Lloyd Cemetery, Highland.
