Philip H. "Bubba" Goodell Jr.

Hasbrouck - Philip H. Goodell, Jr. "Bubba", a heavy equipment operator, of Hasbrouck, died on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at home after a long illness. He was 52.

The son of the late Philip and Marie LeMire Goodell, he was born on September 29, 1955 in Lawrence, Mass. He was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. He loved riding in the wind with family and friends on his Harleys as well as hunting, fishing, and hitting golf balls with his grandson. He also attended motorcycle swap meets and shows with his best bud, Rick Newman.

He is survived by five sisters: Anne Greenwood and her husband, Dave of Haverhill, Mass.; Ida Newman and her husband, Rick of Loch Sheldrake; Brenda Rogers and her husband, Rick of Powder Springs, Ga.; Valerie Courbron of Savannah, Ga.; Paula Karangelen and her husband, Jeff of Santee, S.C.; one brother, Kevin Goodell and his wife, Samantha of Caledonia, Canada; a step-sister, Pamela Navase of Manchester, N.H; three nieces: Samantha Osterout, Robyn Rogers, Megan Goodell; four nephews: Robert Andersen, David Rogers, Noah and Joseph Goodell; his daughter-in-law, Tonya and her husband, Josh Lyons of Swan Lake; and five grandchildren: Dylan, Tiffany, and Joshua Turk; Devlynn Chapman and Arrianna Hatt. He was predeceased by one brother, Edmund.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, N.Y.

A Celebration of Philip's life will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who knew him are invited to ride in the wind to the services in his memory. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
