Joseph Muenze Obituary
Joseph was born in Hofheim/Amtanus, Germany on February 27, 1909. He came to the United States at the age of 17 and resided in Ridgewood Queens. There he began a long and distinguished professional career as a Tool and Die Maker and Business Owner.
In 2004 he moved to Campbell Hall with his wife of 58 years, Emma Jurkowitsch to live with their daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Bill, and grandson, Bill, Jr.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Emma Muenze, daughter, Linda and her husband, Bill Bloom, Sr. and their son, Bill Bloom, Jr.
He was predeceased by his mother, Katherine Mauer; father, Maximillian Muenze; sister, Katherine Reiter; daughter, Irene Muenze Matagrano and grandson, Theodore Matagrano.
Joseph was a model of perseverance and longevity having over come cancer at the age of 92 after doctors gave him 30 days to live. Joseph lived a long fulfilling life as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY 10992; 845-496-9106.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 19, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monroe. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
