Laurie & family. So sorry about the loss of your Mom. Karen was a great person, a lot of fun to be around. Remember the times when we all worked at Central Pet/Kenlin years back & of course Friday nights at Bowling Time. May Karen rest in peace with Twilight Tommy (Mr Met) & may God give you the strength to carry on through this difficult time. Love you all.

I know you are in a far better place now, and someday we will see eachother again, and it will be all good. I hope you are having a good time seeing all the people that went before you. Miss you.

So, as I said last time I saw you, See ya' later! I know you're healthy and happy now and I hope you'll be right behind our Dad to greet me when I get there!

Laurie and Iggy
I am so sad at the news of Karen's death. I wil never forget the fun we had in her apartment in Cornwall. Karen was special in many ways, and we were good friends for many years. We had written to one another a few years back, and I noticed that something was wrong. It must have been the onset of her illness. I am sorry I lost touch with her towards the end.

Going Home

The Place where I go
The Palace of Dreams
Lies across a deep green and cobalt sea
A calm serene crossing
To where creamy foam breaks upon jewel toned rocks
Jasper, Amethyst, Jade

The silvery stripe of soft sandy beach
Encircles the pine crested hill
the beloved dog dances merrily out to greet me.
Step ashore and breathe deeply
The sharp tang of salt with the low note of musky pine
Home, finally, at last.

Climb the stairs through the herb garden
Busy with bees and steeped
In aromas of rosemary and lemon balm
While its inhabitants, the two white cats,
My old friends, peer through the catnip
Smiling their contentment.

Crowning the hill, the piney grove
Is now warm and moist, verdant, alive
Other times it is still and silent,
Crystalline with snow
Tiny diamonds that mirror the pinpoints of stars
That twinkle in the velvet dark above.
The choice is yours alone.

Look! A small exquisitely domed dwelling
Nestles within the pines
Alive with the music of the colorful birds
Who make their homes in the crannies
Amid the tinkling of wind chimes
In the soft sea breeze.

Step inside.
Its cozy, with book lined walls
And a fire in the hearth
There are tall windows through which to gaze and dream
As I'll be dreaming of you, be assured
You will dream of me.
For here is the place we must meet.

Settle in on the comfy couch, and I'll put on the tea
There are lots of pillows and quilts.
Later we'll discuss, over martinis, of course
The silliness of theory with my friends, Albert E.
And Ralph, the cat.
And who knows?
Perhaps..an alien will join the chat.

This is my otherworld home.
I could visit here at night
YOU can find me here, now.
Close, in dreams, but usually out of sight
Stop by in a dream for a visit
As I once came to visit with you
And maybe we'll both start to wonder

WHICH IS THE DREAM? WHICH IS TRUE?
