Florence Bauer Obituary
The daughter of the late Edward and Amanda Engert McQuire, she was born March 8, 1915 in Hankins, N.Y.
She was the widow of Norman Bauer Sr.
She was a former Grand Regent for Catholic Daughters of America; member of Holy Cross Church and its Altar Rosary Society: member of Sullivan County Cooperative Extension: and member of Dairymens League.
Survivors include four sons, Lyman Bauer and wife Dianne of Inverness, Fla., Norman Bauer Jr. and wife Dianne of Green, N.Y., Ronald and Gerome Bauer both of Hankins; her grandchildren, Norman III, Scott, Kelcie, Valerie, Patty and Chris; step-grandchildren, Bobbie, Vinnie and Kim; one sister, Dorothy Gottschalk and husband Philip of Hankins; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Helen Walters, Bertha Milk and Agnes Spielman.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 22 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Callicoon from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Visitation Tuesday, October 23 at Holy Cross Church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Funeral Mass at 1:15 p.m. Father Anthony Moore and Father Ignatius Smith officiating.
Rosary services Monday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Callicoon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Upper Delaware Ambulance Corps or to the Delaware Youth Center.

I was so sorry to learn of Florence's passing. She was a wonderful lady and, I believe, my father's cousin. I live far away from Callicoon now but wanted to include my condolences to the family.
Also, if any of the family wants to contact me that would be wonderful. We are all of the age where family is very important. I'd like to restablish those ties. Rosemary McGuire
