Alice Porte Obituary
The daughter of John and Bernice Malinowska Kurzynska, she was born May 12, 1926 in Buffalo, N.Y. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Youngsville; N.Y. Alice was the widow of Joseph Della Porte.
Survivors include her three sons: Skip Della Porte and his wife, Margaret, Mark Della Porte and wife Nancy, David Della Porte and his wife, Edna daughter; two daughters, Bernice Petro and her husband, Gus, and Alicia Lanese and her husband, Tim; grandchildren: Nichole, Lisa, Joshua & Allison Della Porte Matthew, Andrew & Marissa Lanese, and Joseph Van Dyke; great-grandson Nicholas Della Porte.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St. Montgomery, NY.
Funeral mass will be Wednesday, October 24th 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Youngsville, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Youngsville.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.

I never had the privilege of knowing Ms. Porte but if her daughter, Alicia, is any indication, she was undoubtedly a loving, intelligent, creative woman who devoted her heart to giving her family the best of all worlds. My condolences to her family are heartfelt.

Alicia,
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family at the loss of your mother. A passage that has stuck with my since my father died is " you'll never lose the one you love as long as you love the one you lose." May god's strength be with you and your family.

Alice Della Porte raised a beautiful
loving, wise and strong daughter, Alicia. What more could a mother ask for than to have a daughter like you? You put aside your own grief and sadness to make sure her passing was full of compassion and love. She's with your father now-she went from one pair of loving arms to another.
