Jacklyn Marie Purdy

Wallkill - Jacklyn Marie Purdy, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, died Monday, October 21, 2007, in Newburgh. She was 28. The daughter of Delancey S. and Pamela Williams Purdy, she was born July 6, 1979 in Goshen, N.Y. Jacklyn had also worked as prep cook for H.M.S. Host in Plattekill. Survivors include her fiancé, Bill Simmons, at home; a son, Billy Simmons; a daughter, Volondra Simmons and a daughter, Linnet Simmons, all at home; her parents, Delancy and Pamela Williams Purdy of Wallkill; sister, Kristin Purdy and her companion, Raphael Cruz of Wallkill; sister, Terriann Wyman and husband, Trevor of South Daytona, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Bertha Williams of Newburgh; her friends, the Blaustein family, in particular her best friend, Katherine Blaustein; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Delancy J. Purdy. Visitation will be Thursday, October 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at The Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Modena Rural Cemetery.
