Louise Dolson Obituary
Louise was born on February 23, 1926 in Barringer, N.C. to Ethel Brown.
Louise was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband John Dolson, Jr. and her oldest son, Allan Dolson.
Louise is survived by two daughters, Juanita Floyd of Athens, Ga. and Bernadette Dolson of Washingtonville; two sons, Joseph Dolson of Albany, N.Y. and Reginald Dolson of New Windsor; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed her work at Bethany Presbyterian Church, where she was a longtime member of the choir. Louise loved her family and friends and would do anything for them. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, collecting poems and playing Bingo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY 10992.
Services will be held at 12 noon in the funeral home with the Rev. Gunther officiating. Burial will follow at the Washingtonville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Arrangements made under the care of Thomas A. Murray of the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home; 845-496-9106.

I will miss grams.I will never forget all the longs stories and the teachings that she has instilled in us, that she would tell us at our sleepovers every friday when my sisters and i were young. We all have to be strong grams is in a good place.

Mrs. Dolson was blessed with 2 devoted and loving daughters. The care and love they gave to their mother in her final years is a testament to the gift of good motherhood Mrs. Dolson gave to her children. My sympathy is heartfelt for all of her family and friends. I know grief is a deep chasm; may love and faith provide their path to your own peace.

I have always believed that its not what "I" can do to make the difference in this world. Its the people in this world who have touched my life and encouraged me to make the difference. Aunt Louise was one of those people. She taught me to laugh in the face of adversity. "You are one of God's children, he believes in you, and he will see you through it".
