Barbara Ann Sherman

Kerhonkson - Barbara Ann Sherman died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Ellenville Hospital. She was 75 years old. Barbara was born on September 4, 1932 in Port Washington, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Clifford & Frances (Mosher) Fletcher. Barbara had lived in Kerhonkson for 54 years. She loved to play tennis, and she was a member of the Honeybee Tennis Club in Estero, Fla. Barbara had married Richard T. Sherman in Port Washington on August 12, 1952. Richard predeceased her in March 2005. She is survived by her children: Kathleen Sherman and her husband, Robert Crawford, of East Meadow, N.Y., Nancy Sherman and her husband, Patrick Hayes, of Peoria, Ill., Marguerite Million of Fayetteville, Ark., Dorothy Ann Turcotte and her husband, William, of Kerhonkson, and Richard T. Sherman Jr. and his wife, Ines, of Napanoch, N.Y.; her sisters: Marguerite Epaminonde of Westbury, N.Y. & Dorothy Mulherin of Rochester, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Bert Sherman and his wife, Jane, of Kerhonkson, N.Y. and her sister-in-law, Darlene Fletcher of Council Bluffs, Iowa. She has nine grandchildren: Evan Sherman-Hayes, April and Patrick Million, Nicole and Michael Turcotte, Kayli Sherman, and Diane, Daniel and Christopher McQuillan. Her beloved pets: Samantha, Ryan, Patches and Booboo. Her brothers, Clifford & John Fletcher and her sisters, Winifred Place and Ruth Fricke, predeceased Barbara. Visiting will be held on Thursday, October 25th from 4-6 p.m. at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson, NY 12446. A Celebration of her life will begin at 5:30 p.m. that evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Barbara's name to the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad, P.O.
