Vasilike Annenos Obituary

Newburgh - Vasilike S. Annenos, a lifetime resident of the area, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in St. Anthony's Community Hospital, Warwick. She was 86.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Pauline Starr Lollias, she was born August 4, 1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was married to the late Peter Annenos.

Vasilike was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church; and served as past president of Daughters of Penelope in Long Island and Newburgh.

Survivors include her children, Amy Spellos and her husband Jerry, Paulette Syrianos and her husband Gregory, Katina Athanasopoulos and her husband Chris, Denise Anagnostou and her husband Alex and Nicholas Annenos; one brother, Peter Lollias; one sister, Sophie Apostolos; grandchildren, John, Cynthia, Chris, Lisa, John, Jennifer, Michele, Athanasia, Peter and Tony; and great-grandchildren, Arianna, Nicholas and Titan.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 26 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 27 in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Newburgh. Entombment will be in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater, Fla. on Monday, October 29.
