Elsie Lang Obituary

Schoharie, NY - Elsie L. Lang, former 90-year resident of Highland Mills, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Avon Health Center in Avon, Conn. She was 97. Daughter of the late Frank Muller and Katherine McGinley Muller, she was born November 19, 1909 in Nyack, N.Y. She was the widow of Charles E. Lang. Elsie was a retired Registered Nurse at Nyack Hospital, a member of Woodbury Golden Agers, Highland Mills, and a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Highland Mills. Survivors include her sons, Charles K. Lang of Central Valley, Robert J. Lang of Schoharie, N.Y., James Lang of Lake Worth, Fla., John Lang of Cresskill, N.J.; daughters, Catherine Rice of Hampstead, N.C., Anne Dolson of Collinsville, Conn., Margaret Belanger of Sugar Hill, Ga., 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills on Thursday, November 8, from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Route 32, Highland Mills, on Friday, November 9, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Gerard P. Travers officiating. Interment will be in the Cemetery of the Highlands. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 26 Hunter St., Highland Mills, NY 10930.
