Mary Esnes Obituary

Central Valley - Mary Esnes, a housewife and 60-year area resident, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 85. The daughter of the late John Bednarik and Anna Kluchar Bednarik, she was born on April 4, 1922 in Brooklyn. She was the widow of Henry B. Esnes. Mary was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Highland Mills. Survivors include her son, Henry B. Esnes Jr. & his wife Marilyn of Berkeley Heights, N.J.; daughters, Kathleen Heitzmann of Havertown, Pa. and Theresa Esnes-Johnson & her husband Glen of Ridge, N.Y.; sister, Irene Gagat of Bayside, N.Y.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11 from 7-9 p.m. & Monday, November 12 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 448 Route 32, Highland Mills, with the Rev. Gerard P. Travers officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman. Funeral arrangements were made by Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc.
