Lester Fredricks Obituary

Greenwood Lake, NY - Lester M. Fredricks Jr., a truck driver for Dick's Concrete and lifelong resident of the area, died Monday, December 3, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus after a brief illness. He was 61.

The son of the late Lester Milton and Alice Louis Mabee Fredricks Sr., he was born on March 20, 1946 in Warwick, N.Y.

Survivors include his sister, Carol Long and her husband Edmund of Goshen; his nieces, Susan Mikowski and her husband Paul of Ithica, Nancy O'Dell and Jennifer Long both of Goshen; nephews, Bret Long of Goshen and Blake Long of the Bronx; his aunt, Margie Johnston; his uncle, Lewis Fredricks; and several cousins.

Visitation hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5 at the Strong-Basile Funeral Home, 75 Main St., Warwick.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 6 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Warwick Cemetery, Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or to the Warwick Valley Humane Society.
