Peter Tomczak Obituary
The son of Michael Tomczak & Aniela Grzgorek, he was born June 30, 1923 in Poland.
Peter retired from Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, N.J. after 25 years. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society. He was caretaker of the church and cemetery grounds for many years and he enjoyed his friendship with Father Olendzki.
"Dad was a hard-working man. He was a wonderful father and a loving grandfather with a great sense of humor. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed."
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alexandra at home; son, James Tomczak and his wife Linda of Pine Island; son, Richard Tomczak and his wife Doris of Florida, N.Y.; son, John Tomczak and his wife Sandy of Goshen, N.Y.; and 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Peter, Alyson, Amy, Alexandra, Richard Jr., Sarah, Joseph, Jacqueline, Rebecca, Michael and James. He was predeceased by one grandson, Jonathan, son of James.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 5 at T.S. Purta F.H., 690 Co. Rt. 1, Pine Island. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Thursday, December 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Cemetery, P.O. Box, Pine Island, NY 10969.
