My thoughts and prayers go out to the Sletner family and Mr. Neal. I didn't know Laura or members of her family but I have a soft spot in my heart for NPS Rangers, employees and caretakers. It takes a very special person to put on that park uniform and go to work everyday so others like me can visit and enjoy ourselves. Without those special people like Laura, that would not happen. So, my heart goes out to the family at this time and in the days ahead. We can all take comfort in knowing that we now have a special guardian angel to watch over us and the National Parks that we love so much.

I had the privilege of working with Laura for 8 years. In that time, I learned what the meaning of a true Angel is. Laura worked tirelessly, was always happy, smiling and upbeat and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. Her smile was very very contageous and she will truly be missed. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I have had so many great times with Eric and your family at the house on Moon Valley road. Laura was always around and would be laughing at us for the crazy projects and stunts we were always up to. She was always funny, cheerful and would really brighten ones day.
