Dear Family of Mark.
I was just informed of this horrific incident this last weekend. My name is Linda Hugo-Lopez, oldest friend of Charmaine Taylor. She and I met when we were 4 years old. She lived with Grandpa Dickson across the street from me, my mother used to babisit her. I had the pleasure of knowing Dewey and Micky, and had met Mark and Linda a few times too.
This information saddened me greatly, and I offer all of you my sincere heartfelt condolences.

Dear Patrick & Bryan,
I met your father many years ago when he & my husband (Don) were both going through a very difficult time in both their lives. You may not remember but we all went to Disneyland together. I was not surprised that he pulled through that tough time & made such an awesome impression on so many peoples lives. I was always amazed at what a caring, kind, giving, & loving man he was. You were the light of his world & my heart goes out to you for your tremendous loss. You are in my thoughts & prayers. Take care & God Bless you both.

Dear Patrick and Bryan,
I worked with your dad for a few years in Irwindale. He always had the greatest things to say about his two sons, his pride in you came through in every word of every story. I am truly sorry for your loss.
Mark always had some of the funniest stories, we would laugh ourselves to tears trading good-natured insults and wonderful ribbings. He could bring a smile to my face at any moment.
The world's light will be a little dimmer without Mark. Know that we will carry him in our hearts and that he is watching down on you, proud father and now, a guardian angel.

Dear Entire Family and Friends,
My husband Rick Stueve attended elementary school at First Luthern in Monrovia and later our own children Cara and Neal attended First Luthern with Patrick and Bryan. Since then and most recently we have been close friends and he gave us tremendous emotonal support over this past year. I can look around my house to see his hand in reframing all of our family paintings. They now bring added joy. My family and our circle of friends remember Mark as a loving father, loyal friend, and I am happy that he found the person he called the "woman who he was looking forward to spending the rest of his life with".
Mark will never be forgotten and we will keep him and his family and friends in our heart forever. God certainly blessed all of us with Mark's friendship and love.

Dearest Patrick & Bryan,
Your father was sure proud of you two & it was not in what he said it was in the way he treated & spoke of you. We met you all years ago at Church of The Ascehnsion in Sierra Madre, your father always met us with big hand shake & a smile & on most ocassions a hug. His telling of the great adventures of your Great Dane dog, Magic Moon we believe thats his name, & tolerating (within reason) the noisey parrot was well worth listening to, he would add such body & facial experssion to telling a story. Keep your memories of him, he was a pleasure to be around and put a smile on your face.
Your in our Prayers.

Dear Patrick and Bryan,
If you learn just one thing from your father's time with you, always remember his perserverance--never, ever, ever give up! In his darkest hours when most would have thought life was too impossible or the goal too overwhelming to reach, he picked himself up and he tried again. Sure he had help along the way from friends and loved ones, but not one thing anyone said or did would have mattered if he didn't put his own strength and perserverance behind the task at hand.
He loved you both with all of his being. He was proud of you both and talked about you often. My heart goes out to you at this time of loss. Love, Charmaine

Dear Patrick & Bryan, I am so sorry for your loss. Your father loved you both so much. That's mostly all he talked about when he came in the restaurant. He helped me get my daughter into rehab and he never gave
up on her even when I did. He was a great inspiration for all of us who think there's no chance for a better life. He was proof it can be done!
Take care of each other. Love, Cathy
