Jahn, you were the *very best* son-out-law, and father to my granddaughter. I will miss you.

Jahn is a person that I truly feel lucky to have known and have such great memories of. Jahn is totally timeless and such a unique character in the world, there is no way to forget him.
Every time I think of the stories with Jahn I still laugh out loud at how he would bring his sense of humor - most obscure and sharp at the same time - to a situation that would have normally been so common. Who else but Jahn can spontaneously decide to go to "Cool Runnins" on Divisadero on a Saturday afternoon and get a rasta hat? The sight of me and Jahn in that old convertible, taking in the sights of SF on a sunny afternoon...him wearing that rasta hat and just being IT, being Jahn in the rasta hat. Pure brilliance and childlike fun.
I am not sure how this world will be without the essense of Jahn, I hope we all know what to do with ourselves.

Jahn was present on the day when I decided to move to S.F. from The 'Burbs. I was walking down Valencia St. with my future roommate. Jahn and Joey (then drummer of the Stimmies) pulled up next to us in Jahn's old convertible. My future roommate knew them so we piled into the backseat and we ended up at a bar called The Chameleon.. It was a Sunday afternoon... a band was playing.. it was a sunny, warm day.. we drank our beers. A perfect afternoon. At that moment I realized I needed to get serious about relocating to S.F.. and I did.

Jahn came up with the best parody of Mac the Knife that anyone could have ever dreamt up. I will miss him greatly.

Jahn will be forever etched in my memories as the great and stylish dancer for the Stimmies when I was drumming for them. I can see him cuttin' the rug on the D.N.A. stage and then as a grand finale, he'd throw his hat to the crowd amidst the crowds glee at his prowess. I'll miss him.
