I worked with Geoff at the Illinois EPA several years ago. He totally re-organized (and re-named) an annual report that I continue to write each year for our Bureau of Land about landfills. Although I lost track of him after he left the Agency, I will always appreciate having had the opportunity to work closely with him for a couple of years. He was a very gifted journalist, and because of his efforts the Agency continues to receive accolades each time the report is published on-line or in print. I learned a lot from him, and I certainly share your loss.
